my essays: my english teacher gave me and above average and very good ratings

recommendations: excellent

but I am really confused with my SAT scores..so what do you think guys..should I give a shot?
my SATs will hurt bad i know

Others might feel otherwise but admissions to ivies is a crapshoot. You never know what to expect. However u may give it a try and who knows, you may be accepted.

I think you’d have a much greater shot with a 2200+. As it is anything below a 2100 is pretty dangerous (severe understatement) for an international.

The international awards thing looks great though!

hmm I will be applying for financial aid
bt I guess last date for SAT score report for most of the unis in my list is around jan and Feb so I think i wont be able to take the Jan 22 test
Lets see i will apply…

I think you have a decent shot, but since the international pool is more competitive, taking the SAT again might be good. I mean, my SAT is only a 2050 but my ACT is a 32 so that helps. Maybe take that?

Congrats on the art by the way, looks really impressive

you’re looking pretty good. nice ecs!!!
make sure you STAND OUT as an individual. like i dont know how many times people have said to me that being unique is the best way to go. i think that’s the only advice i can offer you, because you already addressed the SAT 1 concern. Take them again, and even for a third time if you have to. just keep going with those and you will end up with a better score if you put your mind to it.

I contacted ivies because i had problems with my SATs too, last score they will acept is january, so you are still good to go. Your GPA and SAT scores dont seem to match, i had that score when i took the SAT I in 9th grade.

you definitely stand a chance at the schools, but I would definitely recomend taking the sat again in january as it seems like international students are at a pretty severe disadvantage with sub 2000 (but more like 2150-2200) sat scores. other than that you’re a pretty great candidate, and I am sure the diversity you bring will be a strong positive factor

Hey thanks guys I was really freaked out by my SAT score.thanks for the confidence builders…Lokuaz and Cocorio are you guys sure about the Ivies accepting the January SAT?

Your SATs look to be a little bit low, but all of your ECs seem to be pretty strong. I would have to agree with everyone else in just trying to get your SAT scores up.
