Hey guys, so here's the thing: I'm normally pretty good at math, but i got one major problem: careless stupid mistakes. And because of that, my math SAT score is 700. ( CR-720, W-800) I was wondering whether my relatively low math score will lower my chances at the top univs like Penn/Brown or will my high writing score make up for it?

Looking at Penn, your scores are pretty much in the range. You are right about 25th percentile for math. They do look at writing scores, so yes having a perfect score certianly helps.

They list test scores as 1 of the 6 most important criteria. I would focus on the other 5.
