International Student Loans

I'll be attending Dartmouth College next year as an international student. I didn't apply for financial aid when I applied to the school because Dartmouth doesn't offer a need-blind admissions policy for international students.

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend me private loaners: What's legit, what's a scam?

We're still waiting for our permanent residency visa so when we get that, we'll be able to apply for financial aid. Problem is, we don't know when the immigration offices will give it to us (all depends on luck).

What a gamble.

Dartmouth should be doing need-blind as part of the Ivy League...

Which country do you live in?

You can take out a regular loan from certain banks, provided you have an American co-signer.

vesalvay: Not all Ivy League universities are need-blind, they are all solely need-based for financial aid. There is a difference.

Sorry, you're right. Well done on Princeton by the way :)

bank of america I think gives loans to international students. You have to have a permanent resident or american citizen co-signer though!.
