No, you were not clearly hypothetical 24 pages ago. These users were seriously trying to help you and now feel that you took them along for a ride. As noted, “Asking for a friend” is not allowed. At this point, since I cannot figure out what is real vs. what is imaginary or what is yous vs. your friends, I am closing this thread.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
OK, I just cleaned up the thread. To the original poster, please do not confuse the issue here by introducing hypotheticals that may not happen, or by asking about your friends.
The OP has assured my that the remaining posts represent him/her, which I hope is the case, as these other users are genuinely trying to help. Reopening thread.
Yeah i got mine but It was not what i expected. Got 760/800 inca physics. Expected an 800 . Idk if i did bad or something is wrong because my friends and i had identical answers and one of them got 800. So idk , i didn’t get an email yet from college board so there might be a chance that tbhis aint my score. But if it is its alright i guess/ Could have been alot better @gigichuck
@Barekk I think there’s a service where you can get the correct answers to questions, or you can request a rescoring? But it’s a great score anyway. Congrats.
We rode home together and talked about it. I know college board has this dont talk about the exam thing but u think anybody listens to that? lol. Anyway we both still remembered what questions came and compared answers
Update:
I applied REA to Stanford
EA to App State
RD to Kenyon (no supplements, and it felt good to just submit)
The Robertson’s at Duke
Emory for their Emory Scholars.
I missed Rochester’s Nov 1 deadline for the Handler because I was not expecting it at all. The email came late, but I’ve already sent my scores there so I’ll just apply soon.
GPA: 3.7
Rank: 1? Or 2? I’m not sure because we share the same GPA.
Do colleges consider age for internationals? I’m just trying to re-evaluate my application after my Stanford rejection. I know there could be a lot of reasons, but I’m just wondering about this? Btw I’m 15. 16 soon.
What? No one in American goes to college at age of 15 or 16 unless you are Shelden Cooper level of genius. College frown upon admitting too young students because it’s very hard to socialize with older children in college.
Most colleges and universities will admit younger students who they believe to be college-ready. However, the younger the applicant, the more thorough the scrutiny. If you will complete a full secondary education in your country before enrolling in college here, there are better odds of you being admittted as a younger student. Younger applicants who wish to start college without finishing secondary school first are best off applying to those colleges and universities that have special early-entry programs.
OP has completed the highest level of secondary education available already, and has graduated.
@gigichuck: remember that Stanford is need-aware. Since you need a full ride, things will be much more difficult, except at Harvard, Yale, MIT, Amherst, Princeton. Apply to all if you can polish your essays well enough for each. Don’t forget to apply to several “guaranteed merit” or “merit for stats” universities.
Now I’m really worried. Everyone in my class is around this age. I’m 6 months older than the youngest. And I didn’t skip a single class, at all. I probably started really early.
Wow. Should I email schools and ask them about it?
Oh, I thought you had your “terminal board exam” scores already.
You can, I don’t know how necessary it’d be though. I don’t think it’ll be a problem at some schools that are used to hosting young students, but at some institutions it can open a whole can of worms if you’re a minor (especially wrt socializing with 18 and 19 year olds).
