Rejected at Williams, WashU, and Dickinson (incomplete)
Incomplete?
So sorry for WashU and Williams.
Yes. I didn’t write the supplement.
I just got rejected from Johns Hopkins. This has got to be the saddest thread right now and I’m laughing maniacally.
Well, it’s a very normal thread for an international student who needs a full ride. It’s really, really tough out there for kids who need a full ride.
Hang in there.
@gigichuck What are you colleges are you still waiting on?
Agree with MYOS. I’ve been on this site for years, and have seen many, many such threads from international students needing extensive financial aid. Yet when we warn them at the beginning of the process, many posters seem upset by our “negativity.” Except it’s not negativity… it’s reality…
@gearmom several others including 7 of the ivies. Today I’m expecting Swarthmore, Harvey Mudd, Uchicago, Pomona, Bowdoin, Franklin & Marshall.
I just got waitlisted at Colby and it made me feel better.
Let’s hope one of those 6 shows me some love.
Good luck!
FINGERS CROSSED!!!
Mine too!
How are other results? Fingers crossed!
i mean im in the same situation as u i think waitlisted at colby and franklin&marshall
@gigichuck fandm are out rn
This is serious.
Pomona - Waitlisted
Uchicago - rejected
F &M - Waitlisted
Bowdoin - Waitlisted
Trinity - Waitlisted
Swarthmore - rejected
Harvey Mudd - rejected
I’m guessing if I was full-pay I would’ve been accepted at one of those schools I got waitlisted at.
And also Grinnell. I got waitlisted at Grinnell
Absolutely been terrified about my decisions (admissions is all I’ve been talking about since January – tiring practically everyone else since nobody around here applies internationally). As another international needing a near full-ride, Wooster (intnl scholarship meeting my full need, I can only pay about 10k), Williams (completely unexpected), waitlisted at UChicago and Trinity College, and rejected from MIT.
Hoping for the best with the seven sisters colleges, some more LACs, and hopefully the ivies ahh. Also, good luck to all of us waiting on Colgate!
I think the waitlists are at least a good indicator that soon something good will turn up. Good luck!
Grinnel isn’t particularly known for generous FA for international students, so no surprise. Don’t take it personally!
I remember talking to one rep from that school and they said they only met 60% of max need for int. students. It may have changed, though.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you @gigichuck
