Please remember that UCLA receives over 100K applications yearly and admits competitive California residents first and foremost since it is a California public college. Everyone else HAS to be EXTREMELY competitive.
International candidates have a rougher time. Those candidates who are considered for admission have beyond the minimum requirements in all subjects.
You can afford $65K per year?
As far as being above the minimum it’s really only in the history/social science department where I only meet the minimum requirements, and that’s because of the way my program was structured. All other areas I have over the minimum. I recon I’ve got somewhere around 52-55 semesters of courses in total. I’m gonna give it my best shot otherwise I’ll always regret not trying, and if it doesn’t work out I will still have a chance at the other UCs.
@Gumbymom On a side note since I don’t want to start an entirely new thread for a very simple question. Is it possible to send in IELTS results after the November application filing deadline?
From the UC Website:
For IELTS, be sure to arrange to have your scores reported to each campus to which you apply.
These scores must be received no later than January if you’re applying for the fall term. We strongly recommend that you take the test as early as possible, because your score may be a factor in whether or not we’re able to admit you.
