International Student Scholarship

Does anyone have a list of International student scholarships (in the UK or US or Canada or All)?

Hi! As far as I know, here are the scholarships offered to international students:

Canada -
University of Toronto has a few, the main one being Lester B Pearson
University of British Columbia offers a few

USA-
USC Trustee Scholarship
BU Trustee Scholarship
and financial aid from most colleges (look at need-blind colleges for higher chances)

Hope this helps!
A fellow international student

A list? NO.

But you can check colleges to see which ones offer scholarships themselves for international students.

The list provided above is not all that are offered.

I believe international students are able to get scholarships from University of Alabama and University of New Mexico, and those are guaranteed based on stats.

The ones listed in the above post are highly competitive.

For the US, there are lots of scholarships and forms of financial aid, but there is no one list.

First you need to figure out what you need in the way of financial aid: how much do the schools you want to attend cost, and how much of it can you afford to pay?

Next, you need to figure out whether the college(s) you want to attend give money to international students. That will be on the Financial section of each college’s website.

Third, figure out if you qualify for merit aid (that is, money for what you have to offer- usually grades and test scores, sometimes leadership/community service/etc) and/or need-based aid (that is, money because your family can’t afford some or all of the cost). For merit aid you want to have stats at least in the top 25% of admitted students, and for serious money, in the top 10%. For need-based aid, you will have to use the cost calculator on each college’s website. Be aware that they are not exact, and that if your parents are divorced, own their own business, or own real estate they can be unreliable - but it’s a place to start. If you are a star applicant, check out the big named scholarships.

For the UK it depends a lot on what country you are from, and of course how much you need. Oxford and Cambridge both have some generous country-specific scholarships, but most others have only small burseries.

I don’t have info on Canadian, but I’m sure somebody else will chime in.
