International Student Scholarships

There aren’t many scholarships available for international students, so I was wondering if there’s ANY scholarship programs open to international students; programs for humanities are preferable, since STEM is not my thing

There aren’t a lot of scholarships available here in the U.S. for international students…period. The best ones come directly from colleges that actually give scholarships to international students. Those are limited.

Have you checked colleges in your own country? Perhaps your scholarship prospects would be better there.

@thumper1 I’ve been living in California for like five years so it’s basically my home now. I’m even beginning to forget my native language so haha I’m kind of screwed if I go to colleges in my native country.

You won’t even be able to,get loans in this country.

Can your parents pay for you to attend college?

What year are you in High School?

@thumper1 My parents can’t pay for my college tuition, so I’m desperately looking for summer programs and internships that can look good in my resume. It’s hard since many programs cost a lot of money, and most scholarships are open to permanent residents. I’m currently a junior in my school, so it’s kind of too late to get a green card and become a citizen (it usually takes few years).

Hoping someone from CA answers. Can you attend a CA community college?

@thumper1 Yes I can attend a CA community college

He can attend a CCC but, there is a limit to the credits he can add to his college, that will meet graduation requirements. He’ll be paying $ per unit at the CC since he is not a “resident”.
