International students' enrollment deposit

@international acceptees: May I ask how you paid the enrollment fee deposit to Vassar College? They say that I should obtain a money order from a US Bank but it's not really common in my country. Can I pay by credit card or bankdraft? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hey... I had the same problem. I even emailed Vassar but they didn't respond. Luckily, my dad has an American Express card and so we managed to get a cheque by going to their office. Perhaps e-mail Vassar and just hope that they'll respond to you.

i sent them a bank draft by mail. so yeah, bank drafts should be fine :) you can email the admissions office just to be sure.

Thanks guys!!! I'd probably use a bank draft. The admissions office confirmed it's ok.
@kee10: Just to be sure, when you buy a bank draft, how did you address it? Like below???
Admission Office
Vassar College
124 Raymond Avenue
Poughkeepsie, NY, USA
This question sounds retarded but I"m just a complete novice at this. I've never gone to the bank for this before.

What I meant before is: do you need a specific account number to send the bankdraft to or you can just address it to Vassar College?

The easiest thing to do is to ask Vassar for wiring instuctions and wire the money. That is how you will also want to pay your semester bills. Wiring costs a fee, but it is easy and doesn't take a lot of time.

Thank you Damaris. But the bankdraft worked well for me. Thanks about the wiring info anyway. I may need that to pay the semester bills later :)
