International student's financial certificate form

Hi,

I'm applying to Dartmouth this coming academic year. According to their websites, for financial aid, I need to have three items: (this link: <a href="http://www.dartmouth.edu/%7Efinaid/apps/first_year_applicants.html">http://www.dartmouth.edu/~finaid/apps/first_year_applicants.html</a>)</p>

CSS profile

Income/Benefits Statement from Employer (parents')

Student's Tax Return of Country

Unlike the first item, the other two are not provided with a link to a standard form that I can download and fill in. As a result I am a little confused over how to handle these items. My family comes from a third world country and we have never had experience working with this kind of financial statements. If anyone knew where I can find a solution to this problem, I would be very grateful.

Thanks.

Re: #2: Do your parents have jobs? If so, do they receive a statement at the end of each year that shows how much they earned and their benefits (health insurance?) and any taxes withheld?

RE: #3: What country do you live in and do your parents file a tax return in that country to report their income and pay taxes to the government?

If your country doesn’t have tax returns, and you have no statements of earnings from an employer, send an email to Dartmouth telling them this…and your country. They will tell you how to proceed.

My daughter was a Peace Corps volunteer…and in her country, many of the families were subsistence farmers. They did not have employer generated forms for income earned…and they had no country wide tax.
