as an international student, (in my case i'm from malaysia & just graduated high school) we can't study medicine in the states because it's said that we won't be recognised in our own country when we become a doctor is it?

please reply asap, thank you!

Each country has its own unique educational requirements for physician training. You need to fulfill the requirements of the country in which you plan to practice.

If you plan to practice medicine in Malaysia, then you need to get your medical education in Malaysia.

But getting my medical education here in my country is not very good! I don’t think it will get me very far in becoming an excellent doctor :/

There are plenty of doctors in Malaysia. As an international, it will be worse to goto a md school here in the USA.

I once had a malaysian driver who has 2 kids who are practicing medicine in malaysia. They went to med school in russia.

As an int’l student, for financial reasons, it’s not realistic to go to med school in the U.S…

Are you affluent? If not, how would you pay for med school here?

You may have to have at least $200K USD cash in hand to considering a med school education in the USA, even you are successful applying. There is no financial aid for international student attending med school in USA and total COA could approachIng 400k for the four years.
