I have been accepted to both schools. However, I had to drop my calculus course which forced me to switch to the International Studies major at UCI. My question is should I go to UCI (which is closer to home) and switch majors once I get there (either to Business Information Management or Business Admin) or go to UCSD for Economics? I know that if I go to UCSD I won't have to worry about changing majors. However, UCI does have a good business program and I'd rather major in something other than Econ.

The thing is, you’re not sure if you’re going to get into the major if you try to transfer. I mean you probably will, but having it right off the bat is better. I’m on the waitlist for UCI as International Studies major and I’m pretty sure, if it’s anything ilke Davis/SD’s International Studies majors then they should have a international studies with a subfield of econ or business or something. That might be interesting! But yeah. I’d go with UCSD personally.
