which one is harder to get in to and which one is has a competitive advantage in the job market?

Quite a difference in majors! but in terms of sheer demand and competitiveness, I would think the 3-2 engineering program with Columbia School of Engineering (Ranked #4 for undergrad engineering schools BTW). You need to take math and science your first 3 years at FU…have better than a 3.2 GPA, then work hard to maintain that at Columbia. Hard stuff. But the outcome is that you will have 2 degrees: one BS from Fordham, a fine school in it’s own right and one BSE from from one of the very top engineering schools in the nation (and Ivy League to boot!). There is always a demand for good engineers; they are among the highest paid professions right out of college.

Finance can get you a good job as well, but once you graduate you really have to make a mark for yourself to advance.

Just my 2 cents.
