Internship listing says "Current class standing of sophomore (30 credits)" ???

So I’m applying for some internships with my dream company. I’ve revised my resume and written my cover letters and while I was doing the final check of the job listing I noticed a bullet point that says “current class standing of sophomore (30 credits)” UGH. So right now I’m a freshman but the internship will take place in the summer so by then I will technically be a sophomore… Is it bad/annoying if I still apply for the internship anyway??

That wording implies, to me, they are asking applicants be, at minimum, current sophomores (rising juniors during the summer). I would contact the internship coordinator to clarify and see if they would still welcome your application.
