I'd love to get into politics and international relations, it's extremely important to me.

But right now, I'm deciding between going to Harvard SSP or interning within a local government office during the summer.

I love the idea of both, I'd be taking international relations and politics at Harvard, or taking the internship. Which one would be more beneficial for college?

I don't mean to sound superficial -I love both, it's my entire life. I can't choose.

I realize that SSP might not be worth much in admissions, a lot of people go as long as they have the money, but I'm not that rich. I've saved up for a while, I've raised funds to go to someplace like that. It looks fun, and I'd learn at the same time.

Also, since the majority of it is unstructured, I'd love to go out and get involved with cambridge, continuing volunteering and basically doing whatever I can find. There isn't much to do where I live (besides the internship now!), so I'd be able to do a lot of different things I've never done before.

The internship is at the local office of the Supervisor for Los Angeles County, Don Knabe. It's not the main office, by any means, but it's still an internship, and it's still what I want to do.

Which one should I go for? I've saved up for something like SSP my entire life, but an internship isn't too bad at all.
