<p>I'm jsut curious bc ppl are in my life are yelling at me right now, saying that I'm screwing myself over by transferring to a school in Michigan over a school in New York. </p>
<p>Their reasoning is that all the really good internships are in NY, but the thing is, there has to be a way for students in places like Michigan to get good internships and work experience within Michigan right? </p>
<p>I guess my general question is, what do students in places that aren't super metropolitan (ie, Chicago, LA, NY, etc) do for internships? Summer internships? Take a semester off? etc? anyone got some experience or answers?</p>
