im from peru but ive got a very good english, all my classes at school are in english .
anyway, i dont think there are internships in peru for high school students which is why id like to apply somewhere else,

can anyone give me some advise in where to find these, and more or less the cost or how does it work.
thanks

lol... "i've got a very good english"

i mean i did some tests in english as first language and passed, enough for understanding and people understanding me - not perfect plus my writting skills suck in any language, specially when i dont proof read,

very good english because it isnt my first language, - should have specified that :)

Internships are not all that common as far as I know. In our small High School maybe 6 students a year do an internship and they have to find it themselves and then get approval from the Principal and work out most of the details. It's not something that's in the regular curriculum. My daughter did one at the local elementary school because she was interested in teaching. She and two other girls were the only ones to do an internship that year and there were a lot of complications. Anyone else?

Lota_romero, que tal? Como esta el Peru? Quiero viajar alla en Febrero.

Anyway, I see that you're 17, so you're probably going to graduate soon. Are you looking for an internship while still in high school or when you're in college? College internships are a lot more common than high school ones, but high school ones do exist. For example, I know if you're a US citizen you can be a Congressional intern/page on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. while still in high school. My sister was one, and they housed her w/ other students. Plus, if I remember correctly, they gave her a tiny stipend.

Go to www.amazon.com and do a search on books on internships. A list of internship books will pop up, which will give you tips on getting internships as well as names of companies known for good internship programs. I hope this helps.

I would like to do an intern on capitol hill, but have not found any links online.

Here's a link to the Congressional Page Program, which is specifically for high school students:

http://www.pagealumni.us/congpageassoc/frameindex.htm

As for Congressional interns, they're usually college students. You should contact your Congressman's and/or Senator's office to find out what criteria they're looking for. They hire their own interns directly. Good luck.
