So i applied to Best buy for a job this past weekend and got a call for an interview this wednesday. I was wondering what all would be asked and the general setup? I think they said i'll be in the TV department, so does that mean i should brush up my knowledge on TV stuff? Also, what is the attire? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

I would go onto there website and learn the different models. also wear a shirt and tie, if you are a male. Ive worked at both CC and BB and when hired I was told they truly appreciated the cloths I wore as most people come in with jeans and a t-shirt. you will stand out and the store manager will respect you for that. It will also show that you really care about your job.

Be 15 minutes early to the interview.

I worked as a pc technician at both so my interviews were a little different. but good luck.,

Definitely wear slacks and a button-up shirt (plus tie if you're a guy, but if you hate ties or something you'll still be fine without one). It's just sloppy to go into an interview in jeans and a t-shirt (and flip flops are the kiss of death)...even if you're working in a casual store.

It's good to brush up on the different types, features and their accessories, but I'm not sure what the interviewer will ask about them. I interviewed at Circuit City and they asked me a lot of questions about electronics to see which department would be best, but Radio Shack was much more interested in how well I communicated and worked with others in the past. It'll probably just depend on the interviewer on that part.

i just had my orientation today....
