Sooo should I be panicking about the fact that I haven’t yet been contacted about the interview AT ALL???

I live in Toronto, Canadaaa

help please.

Same here, and I live on Long Island.

I don't know of anyone else at my school who's been contacted yet, so hopefully our area's just getting their stuff together...

No. Don't panic ... yet.

Seriously, we are inundated, and struggling to interview everyone. The word is being put out that we need more interviewers.

Interview write-ups aren't due until Feb. 15, and will probably be accepted through March 1. If you haven't heard anything by early February, it might be worth contacting admissions.

Not being contacted is a function of the large increase in applicants, or the laxness of the alum in charge of your area or the alum who got your name to call. It has absolutely nothing to do with your viability as a candidate.

Fireandrain, do you work for Brown's admission office?

At first, I thought that admission offices were just freaking out when they said they were being overloaded, but then I caught Brown's article on their record number of applicants.

Article: Applications up 21 percent over last year - Campus News

When I saw the picture of the admission officer processing apps, my jaw almost dropped --- holy crap, that's a ton of work that I don't want to be involved with!

Yeah, just kidding, I just got the call for mine. But they seem to really try to give everyone one, so I wouldn't panic! Even though I was a little bit a few hours ago, ahah.

^ ahahahaha to ab2013. poor asian lady. if you look on the brown's admissions site, it's like 35 people total going over 25,000 apps. poor adcoms. i wish them lots of sleep and help through these next few months.

But yeah, I believe fireandrain is an alumni and he only helps with the admissions during the interview time period. I forgot if he used to work with the admissions before or if that was another CCer for another school.

just going to throw it out there: i got in ED and was never contacted for an interview. neither was anyone else from my school who got in so i wouldn't worry at all
