Interview Question

I have an alumni interview this week, but I have yet to visit the school–I live twenty minutes away. I have done research and feel knowledgeable about the school, but will it hurt me that I haven’t actually seen it? Do you recommend that I rush out and see it first?

yea it will hurt you a tad if you didnt visit...then again the university doesnt know if you visited unless you take a campus tour and such.

but yea, it might hurt a little but it def wont be a determining factor

I just want to make sure that this doesn't happen--She asks if I visited, I tell her no, then she puts in her letter that I haven't shown much of an interest in the school. Penn is a huge reach for me, so I need everything I can get.

well yea, i would go to the school and look around, esp since youre only 20 minutes away

You're twenty minutes away. Just go visit. You don't even need to do any of that campus tour stuff if that's what's keeping you away. Just...remember something memorable and think of a specific question that shows that you were there.

I'm going to try to visit--I can't take myself and my parents are working. I'm more concerned with her dead on question than me not knowing about teh school. Thanks for the help.
