I was recently contacted by an alum for an interview, but I don't know if I should do it. Penn isn't my first choice (and I probably won't get accepted anyway) and I don't really know a lot about the school. What kind of questions would she ask me? If she asked my why I wanted to go to Penn, should I give an honest answer? Would declining the interview be worse than having a bad interview?

Hi!
If you are considering Penn (which you definitely should!!) I would say that you should absolutely do the interview. No question. I did mine in October, and it wasn’t bad at all. There are no questions about Penn’s history or anything – the school just wants to get the side of you that isn’t portrayed in your app (I know that sounds cliche but it’s true). Mine was moderately casual in a coffeeshop and was supposed to last about 45 mins. It ended up being more like 90, but it went really well. Just tell them about what you love. Don’t think that it’s not worth doing, because you never know if you’ll be accepted. All in all, I think that the interview was one of the most helpful parts of my app, and would definitely recommend that you do it. Good luck!
