Hey I have my interview on thursday and wanted to know what type of questions they ask during the interview
Also what type of attire is appropriate
thanks

No one can truly know what an interviewer will ask. Therefore, it’s silly to give specific questions, but in general from what I know, the alumni try to ask questions that help them get to know the candidate better, and why the candidate applied to Penn. So, just know who you are, and give specific reasons why you want to go to Penn. Attire largely depends on the interviewer and where the interview is being held. Unless the interviewer specifies otherwise, dress like you’re going to a job interview (dress slacks, skirt, button down shirt, tie, etc…). However, sometimes things can be different. My Penn interview is in a Wegmans, and my interviewer told me to dress casually because she’ll be wearing her Penn sweatshirt. Both questions depend on the interviewer.

The interview really is not that important. Based on my interview, I’ve deduced that interviews exist for two main reasons:

To make sure you are interested in Penn. (The one question you should prepare extensively for is: Why are you interested in Penn?)

To answer any questions you may have about Penn. (Come with a notebook full of questions that cannot be answered via the Penn website.)

That said, I second mtustingore. Dress formally, arrive on time, be thoughtful and polite. It also helps to be ready to speak passionately about the subjects you want to go into in college, about your extracurriculars, your goals, and your interests.
