Interview Tomorrow...HELP!!!!!

I just got contacted tonight about my interview and it is tomorrow!!! I'm freaking out because I have no idea what to expect. Please, if anybody knows what I will be asked and what is expected of me, I would VERY MUCH appreciate your prompt reply!

Just be yourself and explain what you want to do in college and beyond.

This is likely to be pretty laid back. Deeeeep breath.

What is expected? Be on time, be presentable (not all dressed up, but clean), speak coherently. Be prepared to answer "why Duke?" or "why underwater basketweaving?"

Have some questions ready for the alum who is interviewing you, too. What did he/she most enjoy about Duke while he she was there, what did the interviewer study, etc.

It will be OK.

Best advice dpattzlover has already provided--just be yourself. Be honest, be interesting, and just have fun with it. I really enjoyed my interview--we talked about pretty much everything, from Duke basketball to the meaning of life (though the two topics are quite similar IMO lol).

If there's any specific advice I can give you, maybe think about a couple of books you last read in your free time. You might be asked to talk about that...just have 1-2 titles ready to go.

That's good advice! My interview is taking place at the Borders bookstore where I go all the time, so it's kinda like it's on my home territory.

wth. your interviewer didn't negotiate with you about what date is good?

How'd it go?

It's hard to say. My interviewer was really softspoken and hard to read. I didn't really know what to say; a lot of what he said and talked to me about was based on the questions I asked him. He didn't even take notes, he just sat there. But overall I guess it went well. He said he thinks I would like and fit in a Duke, but that's like one of those " I bet you say that to everybody" type questions. I started the interview by colliding into a chair smack in the front of my face, but I was laughing at my own random act of clumsiness so it was ok. :)

Lol, nice!

At least one thing he learned --- you won't be playing on Duke's bb team. haha jk. :).
