interview

has anyone else not scheduiled an interview yet?? i wrote to my local interviewer a letter after 3 weeks passed.... STILL NO RESPONSE!!!!

i interviewed last week...i hope things work out for you!:)

It took at least 2 weeks for my interviewer to get back to me. I kept calling and leaving messages and he finally sent me an email. He said he was busy with work, so maybe your interviewer is out of town on a business trip or something. But I would still call the admission's office and let them know that you haven't heard anything yet.

stonecold--i feel your pain!!!

Don't worry, I haven't scheduled mine yet either-- I'd ideally like to call her on the phone number they provided, but she's never home when I call... I guess I'll write or maybe even hand-deliver a letter if all else fails...

oh i haven't even RECEIVED my interviewer's name yet

I can't get a hold of mine either!! I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem... but a problem is a problem. Georgetown should improve their system. and get an online application. anyway, my interviewer IS the local committee chair person.. so that's awkward.

ps should i call his home number? on his work answering machine he mentions it... this is awkward!!

sorry, last time-- DID I MENTION ITS A LONG DISTANCE NUMBER?

Just double checking

I submitted my application maybe a day or 2 before the deadline

is it strange that I've received nothing yet, no card or interview info, not even a confirmation that they got my app?

same here.........for all you who applied last year , when did you have ur interview? is it common to have it in late february, or even march at the rate things are going

I received my interviewer card last week and I still haven't been able to reach my interviewer... it was weird b/c it was her home line and her husband (I think) on the answering machine so I haven't yet left a message, but if I can't reach her soon I'm going to just leave one...

Also, the card they gave me w/ my interview info had my social security number written incorrectly by one digit-- this is very bad, right? I'm going to call them to inform them on monday. Anyone know if there's a blizzard in DC like the one in NYC?

anyo1 else biaiaatchoes

hey everyone,
after about four weeks without hearing anything from the interview chairman of my area i sent him a letter by mail. Since they don't send you a phone number or an e-mail address, at least they didn't for me, I had to write him a letter. I suggest that is the best way to go, he answered as soon as he received my letter, make sure you include your e-mail address. He hadn't concatcted me because Georgetown had not sent him my info so he didn't even know about me- So make sure you contact the person if they haven't gotten in touch with you yet, because maybe they had the same problem they had with me- In a week or so they put me in touch with the person that interviewed me, I had it this past week. I have to say that out of the four that interviewed me, this one was the BEST interview... very open, very conversational, and more about myself than the school itself, which really gave me an opportunity to show them who I am. I guess it depends on the interviewer... GOOD LUCK!!!! and if you have specific questions, let me know.

It was really easy for me to contact my interviewer. My Georgetown interview was the best one I had.

I scheduled my interview... but i have to drive 1.5 hours to get there. And I live in Toronto.. do they not have alumni in toronto?! It better be worth it..

mine still hasn't called me back, maybe i'll contact thehead person

Yeah, I think that contacting the main person is the best way to go because it shows that you are really interested. The interview is definitely worth it for us, because we can tell them what the papers don't show. And also, it is part of the application process, while it doesn't decide,it might become the tie breaker, in some cases, my interviewer told me. good luck to everyone in getting this done!

For all of you who haven't received any notification of having received the app or any interview card...

I just receieved a letter saying that somehow they never receieved my Personal Data Form. Could have been lost in the mail or some work-study guy lost it. You may be having the same problem. Hopefully I can get this fixed and it won't hurt me.

whoaa you guys. I had my interview way back in december. What took yours so looong?
