has anyone done an alumni interview yet? if so, can anyone enlighten me as to how it is? thanks!
it doesn’t affect your admission decision I don’t think so you don’t need to worry too much. when I applied two years ago I didn’t even interview. I think it’s just for learning more about the school
Mine was awesome! It was really casual, he spent more time talking to me about the school then asking me questions haha
As an above poster said, it is not required and probably not important. My interviewer read from a generic list of prewritten questions - all easy to answer. She talked a lot about her time at the school and took some notes. It was pleasant.
@collegebobollege @jackrabbit14 are you guys current students at vanderbilt? what questions did they ask you - like about your future plans or about why you want to go there, etc.? thanks!
I was admitted ED1 this year! I honestly don’t even remember what he asked me but it was very casual and I didn’t have trouble answering any of his questions
@manduhluv No, just a high school senior who applied RD. Really no prep was required - just be able to articulate why you want to go there, what interests you, a little about your activities, what you want to study, etc. Only other question I can remember I was asked was something like: what’s the most important issue in the world today and why. Good luck!
How long did it take you guys to receive an email about your MyAppVU? I applied today and haven’t got a confirmation email yet
@SnapApp it took a couple of days for me to get it. but since you applied today, and tomorrow and friday are christmas eve/christmas day, you probably won’t get yours until next week. good luck!
