Interviews are not something to get anxious about. Mine went exceptionally well, and I happen to be friends with my interviewer now… and he said that even when it went incredibly well, it is still only enough to push me over the top if I’m on the bubble.

I just scheduled my interview via e-mail for this Sunday at a local Starbucks, so I’m getting the vibe that it won’t be an extremely formal, uptight type thing. Although that doesn’t stop me from getting super nervous. Surprisingly, I turned in my app on the 24th, so I was really surprised to get such a prompt interview opportunity. :)

Where do you live though?
I’m surprised I even got one ( i thought I would have to drive up to Portland), i mean, i’m on the other side of the country in a small town

I have my interview on Tuesday. For your interview, did you dress casually? i.e. jeans, sweatshirt, vans. Are there any tips that could help me make the thing run more smoothly? topics I could discuss? etc.

OP: Btdubs, applying before Oct. 15 doesn’t give you a boost in interview chances. I asked the Penn admissions officer who came to my school and called Penn myself.

I guess it does help to apply before the rush of Oct 31/Nov 1 app submissions though.

You did manage to get an interview before most. Good luck! :D

my penn interview was one of my latest ones. Do not try to impress the interviewer with your knowledge; just act chill. I made the mistake of acting uptight on a couple of mine.

Clothing for all my interviews: khakis, button-down shirt and sweater over it. (leather shoes ofc for those of you who own only sneakers). Wearing an appropriate watch would be a nice touch (not one from CVS)

I know this is off topic but i really had to ask and i don’t want to make another thread. Does anyone know where Warren Buffett’s old room is ? I know at Harvard FDR’s room is known and is used to house university guests etc. Is the same true of buffett’s room ? It would be absolutely amazing if that were the case. Imagine sleeping in the same room as the greatest investor in the human history. That would be AWESOME to say the least.
