interview

Can anyone offer any advice/guidance on the (optional) interview at W&M?

scroll to the bottom of the page and change the drop down menu for the dates you can see… and go back page by page. There is some good information there from kids and parents and the admissions rep that posts on the board.

hope that helps some.

The interview is designed for two purposes. 1) To allow the prospective student to literally put their personality into the application and expand upon the material they are likely to discuss in their application. 2) To allow the prospective student to sit down, one-on-one with a current student and ask any questions they wish.

Interviews are entirely optional and thus those who do not pursue one are not disadvantaged. Only 15% of our applicants interview. We recommend that if a student is comfortable talking about themselves to someone they’ve never met for 20-25 minutes and they can get to campus during the summer, they should take advantage of the interview but interviews aren’t for everyone and if this would be uncomfortable for the prospective student they can absolutely opt out.

All appointments for Summer 2010 are currently booked.
