Interviewers

I was just wondering, for those who have been interviewed, was your interviewer female or male? Just trying to see whether it is mostly male or female.

My interviewer was female, but I don't think a sample size of 1 is an adequate representation of all MIT ECs. :)

Female and she was awesome.

Female and she Sucked, Sucked, and Sucked. I was deferred, but that was certainly not because of the crappy interview.

Female. Great interview.

Male. Actually went to Sloan, so he wasn't a techie MITer. Very very interesting and a great interviewer, it went very well!

My advice, use the interview as an opportunity to really show MIT you fit there!

female, it was my first interview, but she was really nice, soft-spoken, and understanding. She took a lot of notes too. :)

my interviewer was female. it was also my first interview. and it went quite well. she took like 3-4 pages of notes and it was a nice and easy conversation. made jokes about windows vs. linux etc.

mine was male

Female and awesome.

male and awesome.
I actually wanted to keep on talking with him but that would be just plainly creepy. >_>

I find it interesting how many got female interviewers, though of course this is anecdotal. Mine was male, and I enjoyed the interview.

Male. Interesting fellow. Gave me some good advice, took a page of notes, I think. Would say it was a fair interview - can't have hurt me, though I don't think it really helped me. In the end, I was deferred. Oh well.

female ! she was really laid back...it was nice

Son and Daughter (4 years apart) had the same male interviewer.

Female. We discovered she actually knew me previously through about four degrees of separation.
