interviews at Fordham

Has anyone interviewed at Fordham? I was hoping to do so within the next month, but so far all of my interviews have been extremely informal. Fordham strikes me as a more prestigious school than those I have interviewed at, so I was wondering if anyone could discuss their interview experience. Thanks!

i thought fordham didn't do interviews. i got accepted and didn't do one

nope, fordham does do interviews. having an interview will only help you in the admissions process (obviously) but fordham doesn't hold it against you if you aren't able to have one. I have heard that interviews are beneficial for those who might be right on the cusp of being accepted-- it could be that extra factor that pushes you from the no to the yes pile. Other than that, they're really not that important at Fordham. As far as the interview experience, I heard that you just have to be yourself and to appear relaxed. I have heard that the interviewers are extremely nice so there's no reason to be nervous.

Maybe FordhamAdmiss will add more to how interviews can help applicants during the admissions process.

Fordham no longer offers interviews for applicants. There was a time when we had a smaller applicant pool when we could offer this to folks.

With the growth in the number of applications, we simply cannot accomidate this any longer.

If students have information they would like to bring to the attention of the Committee on Admission that would not be addressed in the normal application questions, they are welcome to submit an additional personal statement to support their application.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much Fordham Admiss! Much appreciated
