I just got called for an interview today! Yay! I had been hoping for one like crazy......

It's November 8th at a starbucks. Now I have to start being nervous about the interview and what I should wear and what I should say.....I guess the college tension never ends.

Good luck to everyone else who has an interview or is hoping for one.

I asked this question on another thread, lol.

The general consensus seems to be that you can't go wrong with khakis and a polo shirt for guys. For girls, a skirt with a nice sweater, or pants with a blazer work fine. In essence, look and smell good, and dress up a little more than usual. A business suit with pearls is unecessary, but a nice sweater set, or skirt is appropriate.

mine is nov 8 and the woman is coming to my school to do it during my frees, but she didn't tell me to bring anything...do u guys think i need to bring anything?

CMH22888, I see that now from looking at your username! Should have figured it out sooner, I suppose. Now you can count on at least one person that won't forget to wish you Happy Birthday;)

My French teacher does interviews in my area, but since she wrote my formal rec, she's not allowed to give me one herself. She told me that if I don't get an interview she can call and arrange one for me? Hmm..

Helix (and everyone else) - relax and just act natural. "Preparing" for an interview is the same regardless of the situation. Think of some answers to have in the back of your mind for possible questions, do a little research on the interviewee's company (in this case, uPenn, but normally it will be a company) so you can ask good questions and show you've taken some interest, and once again, act natural, lighten up.
