Just got notified today about the interview. Supposedly my interviewer will contact me within the next two week. Anyone know if the interview is supposed to take before or after Thanksgiving?

amacing, mind posting a copy of the email?

amacing- are you from india?

I just got an email too! YAY!!! Here is what it reads:

Hello All!

I'm the ASC India Chair this year, and I'd like to say hello on befalf of
the Princeton alumni community.

The ASC process puts applicants to Princeton in touch with alumni from the
region, and is intended to be a two-way exchange of information. As
applicants, you will have the chance to interact with Princeton alums and
ask questions about the university (or, indeed, about the US undergraduate
experience in general), while alumni have a chance to learn about some of
your goals and aspirations, on an informal basis.

Note that all ASC interviewers are volunteers. Moreover, we do not have any
information regarding your grades, test scores, essays/reccomendations, etc.
These are privy only to the Admissions Committee in Princeton, of which
the ASC is not a part. Think of ASC volunteers, instead, as roving
ambassadors of Princeton - here to share our own experiences and thoughts,
but also to learn a little bit about you and what motivates you, to put a
face to a name/set of grades & essays for the Admissions Committee, as it
were.

Each of you will be contacted by an ASC volunteer over the next week or two
(if you are not contacted by one by the end of the 3rd week of November,
please let me know right away). Wherever possible, we aim for face-to-face
meetings. However, given relatively few India-based alumni, ASC exchanges
may also be conducted by telephone/Skype.

I would also request each of you to send me an email reply confirming your
current address/telephone number, and that you are in fact an Early Decision
applicant to Princeton.

Of course, if you have any questions about the ASC process, Princeton, or
anything else, please feel free to shoot me an email.

Regards,

heh, no I'm from new jersey.

Here's a copy:

The Princeton University Admission Office has recently notified me that you have applied for admission to Princeton University as a member of the Class of 2011. As chair of the Northwest New Jersey Princeton Alumni Schools Committee, I have assigned the responsibility of offering you an optional candidate interview to name removed. These informal interviews, which are conducted throughout the world by Princeton alumni, are not a required part of the application process; however, most applicants who participate in an interview have found it useful and informative.

[name removed] will be contacting you within the next two weeks to schedule an interview. If for some reason she has not contacted you to arrange an interview within this period, please feel free to give her a call.

Good luck on the application process, and please feel free to call me if you have any additional questions about Princeton."

Wow technology these days is scary. I already found out where my interviewer lives and how old my interviewer is just by reverse lookup using the phone number.

thanks a lot, spacepirate and amacing~!

So, how old is she, amacing??
BTW, I'm from CT and haven't received anything yet :(.

I havent received anything either. Amacing, when did you send in your application?

btlesgirl, I wouldnt worry. There is still a lot of time to be contacted.

Nope, I'm not worried. Just feeling a little neglected is all...lol

does anyone know if the questbridge applicants have to do an interview also?

lol i feel totally neglected.

but i promise i wont be like grecoprincetonian last year lol~
he looks like a very annoying and angry person

can someone explain to me exactly what questbridge is?

hey? dint know they offered interviews in Nigeria??? Wow! that's amzing (got an email today for an interview of some sorts here)...... Anyways questbridge application sounds familiar to me....but i dont know if its in Princeton application i saw it......hmmm....

lol...grecoprincetonian...

I'm in Greece and I haven't been notified at all. I just know the guys (the two alumni that will interview me) because I attended this college fair and talked to them. I got one the guys' email. I told him if we could meet up and he was glad and we did. I asked him if I was going to have an interview and he said he'd file out a report(what does that mean?). But if that was supposed to be my interview, shouldn't he have contacted me and not the other way around?

I dont know Zarah.....but i hope you gave him a good impression of you....because it seems like that was your interview...lol... But dont mind me

Well if it was it sure went well. We were talking about eating clubs (actually he was) and like I could only remember one, the Ivy club, and I ask him about it, and he looks at me all surprised and fascinated and he's like "That's the one I went to" and like immediately he takes out his little notebook and starts jotting something down. What do you think of that?

whoa! u jus got yourself a good shot at princeton....! Its like an unplanned interview which would move the interviewer more because he knows you did not plan anything you were saying....You were jus being yourself....BUt thats my thought...I think that can only bring about positive comments for you.

Yeah I know, but at the beginning he was like "well just so you understand how important an interview is, (he was trying make me feel at ease I guess) if you do well in it, it's not like it will get you in, the admission officers will just note it and move on to the rest of your app. If you do really bad though, like if you are rude or obnoxious, then that will play a big role in the decision." So basically he told me that it isn't THAT important.

yeah.... I feel you on what your saying....this is indirectly answering my thread question... :)
