<p>Do we have to do anything to request interviews if we applied EA? When will we be contacted? I sent my app about 1.5 weeks ago.</p>
<p>Harvard received my application on the Oct 15th and the local interview coordinator called me on the 25th. I didn't have to do anything they just called.</p>

<p>I went for an interview at Harvard itself...I set one up.</p>
<p>At many schools even if you set up and go to an interview at the school itself, the local alumni group will still contact you for another one after the school gets your app. Go ahead and do both. You will be interviewed by different sorts of people. At the school it's usually a jr. adcom or an intern. Out in the world you will be interviewed by an alumnus(a). You want BOTH of them to be writing how impressive you are.</p>
<p>I had an interview at Harvard last month and was just contacted from a local alumnus for another interview on Friday. Gulp!</p>

<p>The interview isn't really that formal, it's more of a discussion that just goes back and forth. A few of the questions that I got asked were: What's your school like? What are your favorite classes and why? What are your major interests outside of school? Why Harvard? What will you bring to Harvard, etc. I wouldn't say that you need any major preparation, but you probably want to think through a few of those questions in your head. Bringing a copy of a resume/transcript could be good too, because the interviewer only has the most basic information about you.</p>
<p>I think they received my application around October 15 or so, but nobody has contacted me about an interview. Should I be worried and try calling them? I know it can't be that there are no alumnae in my area because a friend just had hers on Saturday and she just turned in her application a day before me. On the supplement, I put that I had not yet intervied but wanted to. Was that wrong? Or maybe that question wasn't for freshman applicants...</p>
<p>chatterjoy-Don't worry yet. I sent mine in October 15th, and haven't heard anything. I talked to a member of the group that interviews for Harvard at an info session last friday, and he said he hadn't even divided people up yet. On the supplement, I think the information about interviews was only for international students.</p>
<p>You might want to see if you can call the person that interviewed your friend, if you haven't heard anything by the end of this week...</p>
<p>for all those who already interviewed, what was the hardest question?</p>
<p>I had my MIT interview, and the most difficult question that caught me off guard was "If you could have unlimited amount of time and resources, what would you do?"</p>
<p>Yikes! So it's the alumni interview I have in 2 days that's the most important? And I was really hoping that my interview on-campus would count for a lot. I wasn't nervous at all that day. Now, I'm worried I'll be nervous for this one. Oh well, I'll do what I usually do, go for a good long run before the interview. It's a great stress reliever.</p>
