how harder does it get if an int'l student applies to FU with financial aid compared to applying w/o aid?
by any chance, does anyone know how good the credentials of an int'l student who can get aid from FU should be? Just an estimate..u know what i mean...

All I know is that international applications are not need-blind, and that to get in you need to have lots of credentials (moreso than US students I believe) and also lots of money.

i actually scraped to be able to afford it fully, i reckon it's a big factor. I do wish i had applied for aid now though.

so when you apply, will they accept you first then negotiate? or will they just reject you right away given the financial data we have sent?

i think my SAT's and GPA are quite low compared to the acceptees. Are those very important factors for columbia? What does Columbia really want?

They are very important factors for Columbia, especially if you're international.

crap...my SAT is only 1980 (CR580 M800 W600)...would that hurt a lot considering I have good TOEFL (297/300) and SAT2 (MII800 Physics760 Chem740)??
My GPA is only 3.6, but I don't think it's not fair because advanced courses are available only in 11th and 12th grade. The only classes that gets weighted are HL classes, and A=4.5, not 5. SL classes don't get weighted. Will they look at my GPA taking consideration the system in my school?
