Int'l Transfer got waitlisted with a 2.86 GPA...what should I do? Help!!!

Alright guys, you are not the only transfer who got waitlisted haha, and I'm probably the one with the lowest GPA >< I’m originally from China but I chose to attend a liberal arts college with a lot of financial aid. However, I really really like UNC and hope that I could do anything to get off the wait list.

Some stats:
Transfer as a rising junior and got wait listed on April 24th.
College: Denison University, a liberal arts college in Ohio
Essay: I think it's a nice one but not outstanding I will say.
GPA: 2.86 (college, 2.86 – 2.32 – 3.42 – a potential 3.5 or above)
90/100 (grades from only 9th to 11th grade in highschool back home)
SAT: 2090 (highest sections combined, CR 540, Math 790, WR 760)
ECs: solid ECs mainly from 2 years in college
Community senator at student government, representing all int'l students on campus
Finance committee member, reviewing budgets for all clubs on campus (we worked on the biggest project of 10 years, and invested $500,0000 from the reserve fund on a project benefiting all students on campus)
Admission host
Fundraiser at Annual Fund, calling alumni for gifts and had an average pledge rate 80%
Treasurer of German Culture Society
Founder and Host of Chinese Tea Time
Member of Denison Venture Philanthropy
LOR: Should be a strong one from my German Professor. She knows me fairly well so she should have explained why I had an awful GPA in the second semester of my first year.

To be honest, I was expecting a rejection but this waitlist really makes me very anxious :(
I'm almost sure that my GPA is the main reason that I was put on this list, but I was wondering what I could do besides that? Should I retake my SAT and TOEFL (they are both more than 3 years old)? Should I visit campus? Should I call them and email them to show interest?

Thanks for reading. I really appreciate your help! If other transfers would like to talk over this, feel free to contact me!
