OK, here I go again. I screwed up the ticket order for Into the Woods. I now have 2 tix for the matinee on the 17th instead of the 24th, on which date I’m planning to go with a friend. Did anyone want to go on the 17th instead of the 24th?? It really sucks getting old…it’s sold out on both dates.

Hey that would be fun! I was actually pricing tix for "In the heights" sometime that week, but even with the preview price, I just can't swing it. It would be better tho if I could get just one more ticket...let me know if you think I could get one more person in?

Hi again! I know I'm still going to go on the 24th with my friend and take the chance of getting another seat.... I know many of the CAP21 kids get comp passes, then don't use them for whatever reason, so I'm pretty sure you can get one more in, but I can't guarantee it. Well, if you want to take a chance and just get the 2 tix from me, they're yours. I can pm you the reservation number, and leave the e-ticket with my daughter. (since I'm seeing it with the "big group" on the 16th.) Just let me know, though, because she's going to ask around to see if any of her friends want the tix. (they're $20 each)

Hey rossji,
Check your PM.

Just wanted to publicly acknowledge how fun it was to see this show! rossji's d was perfect for the role & the casting was great. Good voices all around. The pit was amazing! Was disappointed in the presentation of the show however. The kids deserved a better theatre for their musical (so small, basically a classroom), and certainly deserved a small bio in the very professionally done program! All that was printed was their names!?

Rossji, what role did your D play?

Re: Tiny black box for musicals. The Cap21 black box is definitely the smallest in which I've ever watched a show. Is this the norm for many college programs? Or just NYC real estate realities having an impact? I've been to black boxes at high schools & probably five college campuses, and all were larger & allowed more flexibility in staging. But maybe the limited number I've seen are the exceptions.

Thanks so much, Melsmom. I agree about the size of the theater (or lack thereof!) especially with the cost of tuition. And the bios. StickerShock (which I've been going through the last 3 years, lol~) my D played Little Red. Typecast at 4 foot 10!

She's great, rossji! (And I think Cinderella towered over her by an inch or two.) Really enjoyed the show & it's obviously a deep talent pool.

Thanks, stickershock! Yeah, Cinderella isn't exactly going to be UConn's starting center, either, but she was great!
