<p>Base off the link link above it sounds like I might be place in temp. housing (for a long period), and I myself have only heard it’s a complete nightmare. Anyone have insights on temp. housing?</p>

<p>Looks no different than when I attended a Big Ten school 25+ years ago. As the link points out, lounges are temporarily converted to a multi-student room, depending on size (for example, 8 beds). Benefits are that you get to know a bunch of people quickly until re-assigned, and costs are very low. Downside, how much studying can you get done in a room with ~7 other students, and varying schedules can be distracting. </p>
<p>If it were me, I’d enjoy the advantages, and try to compensate by studying elsewhere (library, etc) if needed. And hope that nobody snores too loudly!</p>
<p>As discussed in another thread, I’m expecting a lot of temp housing due to very large incoming class.</p>

Thanks but I don’t think I will have to worry about temp. housing at the moment. I was recently informed that I am now apart of the living learning community where I will be housed in Hillcrest.</p>
