I know that in general Iowa State is very good at engineering. I find myself interested in computer science however, and while at many schools it would be part of their engineering school, at ISU it is part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Does anyone know if the undergrad computer science program is decent/on par with the engineering programs at ISU, and/or rankings?

I am very familiar with Iowa State and know a bit about the Computer Science program.

Iowa State has a great computer science program–it is very hands-on and there are many opportunities for research. Students in the Computer Science program will have courses in the College of Engineering (specifically software engineering) as well.

The name of the university afterall is Iowa State University of Science and Technology, so ISU has strong technology-related fields.
