Anyone know what time decisions are mailed out?

Looking at past threads, it seems to have been around 10:00 to 10:30 am in the past few years. However, I’m on the east coast and Iowa has a different time zone…so, not sure?

if past years the decisions were mailed at 10 (i’m assuming central time since iowa references central time) then i’d be getting the decision right about now

i got waitlisted :o does anyone know how hard it is to get off the waitlist? im really surprised lol bc i didnt even submit a teacher rec…

I don’t mean to diminish your surprise/excitement, but the email I got from Iowa said that the summer residential program does not have a waitlist, so I’m not sure… Let me know if I’m wrong.

Either way, I feel like Iowa would have a high yield though.

is this iowa young writer’s studio? my email says: “We are sorry to tell you that your application was not selected for our initial round of admissions. However, you have been chosen to be one of twelve alternates for Session 1, June 18-July 1, 2017. Every year we are able to admit several alternates over the course of the spring if and when spaces become available. In the meantime, we encourage you to pursue other opportunities for this summer. The alternates are not ranked, so please don’t call and ask what number you are on the list. As far as your chances of getting offered a space, we can only say that in some years spaces open, and in others they do not. If a space opens and we feel that you would be suited for it, we will contact you.”
