IPAD 2 for college?

I have a 15.6" HP laptop and am interested in getting a tablet preferably an Ipad 2. Not just because everyone gets it but because I think it can actually help me. What are your ideas and will it make college life easier(I am a freshman). If so what apps do I download what do I do with it, do i store files on it etc. Any help you can give me would be great. And i am going to get a stylus from stylus-r-us for my Ipad to take some notes in class if I do get the ipad. Thanks again.

What is your major? I was considering getting an iPad but I need to take a lot of math classes and mymathlab isn’t compatible with safari (no flash and some other things), and the mymathlab app is worthless, you can’t see or do any hw. Seeing as how heavily my math classes will be online and MML and how many math classes I’ll have to take, getting an iPad is no longer a priority.

The iPad doesn’t use a Wacom digitizer so it would be hard to take notes on one.

I’ve used my Fujitsu T5010 to take notes on and it was way better than any iPad I’ve used.

The iPad is good for a back up option when you don’t want to carry your laptop around. Good educatinal apps are Wolfram Alpha, PBS, Kindle, Numbers, Keynote, Kno, EMD PRE, Elemental, iTunes U, & DropBox. There are more but these are the ones I use regularly.

Here is a video of an actual tablet PC
