My parents got me an iPad but I already have an iPhone and a macbook pro...can an iPad do anything that the other two can't? Especially for school use-is it helpful at all? I don't know if it's worth it or if I should return it.

There is pretty much no practicality for it. I don’t generally support the buying of an iPad anyway, but I really don’t think you need one. I honestly don’t think the whole digital textbook thing is going to catch on, and if it does, not fast enough for our generation. An iPhone pretty much does everything an iPad does, just not on a juiced up screen. I would return it, if it was a really expensive one, and save that money for the new macbook pro thats coming out in the summer/fall, which would be much more beneficial if your pro isn’t the newest model.
