So my mom wants to buy me an ipod and instead of just buying it and surprising me she asked which one i would want. so, what do you think? 20G normal ipod or 6G mini? Obviously the 20G stores tons more songs and is only slightly bigger, but I also like that the mini has the belt clip and i could get a armband for when at the gym. I also don't know just how many songs I'm going to need to have on there at once. So opinions anyone who has one or the other? THanks.

For the slightly larger size, get the bigger one. My D. walks around with it strapped on her pajamas. And its nice to choice your songs.

I usually go workout. So I would say the mini since it's lighter plus it has a variety of color.

BIGGER ONE. I have a mini but now I wish I would've gotten a 20GB :( THe colours tempted me to much :(

think the regular sized one would be too big/heavy for running/working out?

big ipod

It's not that big. It can be used to workout. More bang for your buck

I would say mini or pay $50 dollars more than the big ipod costs for better battery and color screen (and 10 more GB's, whihc probobly dont metter much to you)

Go to store and touch them. Pick them up. Then decide.

i don't have a store nearby unfortunately - i've got to order it online

Okay, the size difference isn't that great, but the option of setting up song list, is worth the little bit bigger size and the money. My Ds got theirs two months ago and already have 500 songs, easy. They have lists of fast songs, slow songs, happy songs. etc. So if you are working out you can create a playlist of songs. It is really easy to find a song as well. The bigger one is very small actually and it won't get in your way working out. And it has very cool accesories. The reason I would do the larger on is that eventually you can get speakers, and can play the songs you want, lets say in a dorm room!! So for longer term, get the bigger one.. Did I say I think you should get the bigger one?

heh heh thanks a lot. i'm definately leaning more towards the 20GB now that i found these nice accessories. those colors of the minis ARE tempting, but i suppose i can always get a nice case for the white one.

Big one. Lots of memory= lots of music.

Ignore the colors. I dont like most of the colors anyway, and bands have come out with alot of really cool covers for their ipods.

If you want color, get the U2 version. Kicka$$ look, and all the memory.

I say mini b/c I can't think of a time when you'll need 10,000 songs to listen to. Save $50 or buy a Warrantee on it. Plus with the mini you can get diffent color and its drastically smaller and lighter. Also since you can have over 1000 songs on your iTunes and switch songs on you iPod whenever.

i think the mini is 4 gb... actually i'm pretty sure it is

Mini. You don't need 20gigs of song. It's absolutely awesome for running.

i already have 5 gigs on my 20g ipod.

but whichever one you get, spend that extra 20-30 dolalrs and get a case/cover for it... it's well worth it.

Ipods are ********, you can save big money on a 60GB Nomad Jukebox for about $400 compared to the $600 Ipod, now, a 20GB is about $200, there's more options such as 30GB or 40GB.

fuc*apple.com

The only good thing about the ipod is that you can erase it and load it up with a new OS such as Linux.

Ipods are UGLY,ugh, disgusting. I mean, who buys a vomit white Ipod? Or Dinosaur egg gray? Nasty. The shiny grosses me out also.

lol Mexican_dude, on the contrary I love my Ipod Mini. It looks so cool.

The nomad jukebox doesn't look nearly as nice.

the ipod is super polished and looks really good. the dinosaur gray is awesome. the only bad one they've made is the U2 one.

tha tone looks like crap.

(the thing you mentioned i did not know about the new OS)

I don't feel like I have the mini-pod on my arm wen I'm lifting... so that ones perfect for me. But in terms of battery life, and you don't like to charge it all the tyme, go for the 20 gig one. The battery life can be a real pain at times.

Okay Ipod not $600 dollars....mexican dude is mistaken? the BIG thing to consider is the software and your computer....do you have apple or pc...you want to be sure your computer can take software...

ipod or ipod mini....go for it!!!!
