IRVINE decisions

May be the computer guys who are supposed just to type in "accept" or "reject" are not doing a good job :D

Should we wait for an E-mail? Or should we check the website for our notification?

The site.

Only one campus actually emails the decision: Davis (they also have it available on their site).

I checked the admission cite at UCI and found the following message
"We have received your Advanced Standing (Transfer) application"
What does advanced mean in this case. Do you guys all have the same message?

of course haybaxt. that's what it's suppose to say.

All it means is that you are applying as a junior. Hence the word Transfer.

WRONG!!!! UCR also does email the decision. I've called the UCR counselor today and he said so.

I rarely put pure opinion into these boards. My statement on what schools send email was backed up by a document. Before I link to that document, however, I'd like to see evidence that it is actually wrong: for instance, someone who can show an email sent to them from Riverside that has a decision--or, of course, a document from UCR or another UC that says they send decisions through email.

And by the way--there is no space on this board for personal attacks, kevintech--everyone can and should evaluate the information provided on the board from their own personal critical standpoint.

Oh man, that was harsh!

hmm... do you guys still remember back in the days where someone who has said: "WRONG" "ABSOLUTELY WRONG" to me when i said UCs give the same priority for transfer students from UC as well as from from CC :D hahahhaha :D

Yep, that was me! And it was nothing personal! I wanted to make it clear, for the sake of those who read it then and for future people searching the board with a similar question.

I have nothing against you for saying what I said was wrong; let's just look at the facts.

Does UCI release acceptance letters during the weekends?

Kevintech, I am reporting your posts as offensive. It's ridiculous. And you have erred--there is a difference between decisions being emailed and emails coming later to those who have been accepted.

Again, none of this is personal opinion. I will link the source that says only Davis emails decisions if it can be shown that it is incorrect. Then everyone can evaluate the info for themselves, as it should be.

Gabe its nothing personal. Just like your comments towards kevin101 weren't. You can go ahead and report my comments as offensive if you want. If these posts really affect your life that much then you should report them.

Kevintech: kevin101, as well as myself, were referring to an actual question of fact. You simply accused me of "usually being wrong." That is entirely personal. If it is not personal, then address the actual question and the actual facts, and don't make claims, and certainly not accusations, without backing.

That will be better for you, me, and all the other CCers.

Wow. Calm down guys. This waiting period seems to be turning us against each other. LOL!

now, now, children settle down.

oh someone accused another to be WRONG!!! kevintech you deserve life in prison.

haha, coll4me, I had no issue with anyone calling me wrong on an actual question. The issue was him wasting space in the forum accusing me of "usually being wrong" in general, without regard to any question.

Perhaps you will be better accustomed to how this forum works as you spend more time here.

I agree with Gabe that kevintech was being overly broad with calling him just wrong (I have actually found much of his information to be true and helpful). But this is stupid; you're meaningless posts back and forth are clogging up this thread. Let's quit being overly sensitive and move on?

On to more important news, anyone get any acceptance letters on Friday?
