What's My Chances For Uci, Ucsc, ucd, Ucsd, Ucsb, Cal Poly Slo

Nikkei... yeah yeah... it is some sorts of hidden admission processes that we would not see or be told but it sometimes happens that UC's will reject you if you are "overqualified"

Again, I once said that my friend who got into top UCs including UCB, UCLA and so on but rejected by UCI as a freshman with 4.2+ GPA in electrical engineering.
It seems like UCI might tend to reject "overqualified" students...

Does it have a either "CONGRATULATIONS!" or "We're sorry to inform you..." message? Or do you have to go check out the messege center to find out?

sanami, you have great extra-activities; I really mean it is great because you seem to have a lot of commitments into those clubs (2 years + in almost all the clubs) plus several awards.

On the other hand, your GPA is little below the average if i'm not mistaken. Your SAT IIs are very fine and SAT I is also ok but not strong.

Having said all those, you would be an ALMOST-MATCH (very very slight slight reach)! If your personal statement is very good, you are match for UCI!

Note: I'm not an expert in admission selection or claim to be one. These are solely opinions. On the other hands, I have gone through the freshman admission process and also the transferring process.

A little story I would like to share, I've applied to UCI as a freshman to electrical engineering but got rejected; I then appealled but again was rejected and now apply again as a transfer with a 3.69 GPA in math major. My friend has just got in math major with a 3.0 because i believe she participated in the PAIF program which will most likely guarantee acceptance .
Even though I don't know about I will be accepted or not, the math department of UCI has already sent a letter to invite me to the math major orientation.
