irvine vs. davis

I didn't have an on campus job last year but from what I understand they are relatively easy to come by, as long as you try to get on at the beginning of the year when everyones trying to find people. Next year I'm going to get one though.

can you give me some examples of jobs on campus? how much do they pay? and how many hours a week you work?

Hmmm...there's office type stuff in pretty much all the departments of the campus. There are also jobs like parking. Honestly I don't know a whole lot about it but I think most jobs pay a little bit above minimum and you might work 15ish hours a week. But that's just my impression, I don't know a whole lot.

There are tons of different jobs you can have on campus. You can work in the library, you can work in an office doing filing, copying, and phones, or you can work in a campus eatery. If you know about computers, you can work at Network Academic Computing Services (NACS) doing tech support. You can get a job with housing. You can work in the Career Center. There are tons more, but I think the coolest job on campus is a job where you get to drive a golf cart. The jobs all pay different amounts, but pay probably ranges from $7-9 an hour.

How do you apply for one of those on-campus jobs?

Go to the Career Center in Student Services I. They have all of the job listings and everything that you'll need to find a good on-campus job.
