Is 19 credits too much?

My buddy and I are taking 19 credits:
Probability (4 credits)
Mathematical Proofs (3 credits)
Multi-Variable Calculus (4 credits)
Numerical Analysis (4 credits)
Computer Calculus (1 credits)
Financial Management(online) (3 credits)

We are “Math: Actuarial Science” Majors and in order to graduate spring 19 we have to finish these pre-req’s before taking the classes next spring so we can graduate. We both have above 3.0 gpa’s and have done really well in all of our math courses.

If it is available and affordable can you take financial management over the summer? Are you able to take it at a cc and transfer it in (it might be too late - depends on your college). It would help lighten your load. It sounds like a very time consuming course load. Some people can handle it and some would rather not.

If you manage your time well, it can be done.

Financial Management is an upper level class at my university and I’m taking Accounting 1 & 2 this summer so I can take FM. They are both 4 week courses and I’m done with the first one on Wednesday. I’m going to be starting my 4th year this fall and I have been averaging 16 credits every semester and have done really well but haven’t found it necessary to take 19 credits until this year. How were you able to manage your time taking 19 credits?

Whether or not this is doable totally depends on you. Sounds like you are capable. If you organize yourself as soon as you get the syllabus for each class, keep up, and keep in mind that it’s for a semester or 4 months of your life, then you can get the job done.

Talk to your advisor/favorite professor and see what they think.

Honestly it sounds like too much.
