Is 19 units too hard to take as a freshman

My college is on the quarter system. Originally I had 15 units on my schedule but then I decided to add 4 more units.
My classes are
Physics 1 (4units)
Calculus 2 (4units)
Public Speaking (4units)- but I doubt it will be hard at all since my professor has really good reviews
Intro to mechanical engineering (1unit)
Manufacturing processes materials joining (2 units)
And the one I added was some sociology class because it was a general Ed (4 units)- its one of those giant lecture type classes where all you have to do is read the textbook
So that makes 19 units, but with two of them being fairly easy general eds would it really be too much or does it seem ok, I mean, I don't plan on getting a job either

Start with it. If it is too much work/time, drop one (before the drop deadline) that is not a prerequisite to other courses you will take (obviously, don’t drop math or physics if you are an engineering major).
