Is 600 for SAT Physics good enough for Ivy League engineering?

I just get my SAT Subject Tests result.
Math IIC-730
Physics-600
USH-650
And I apply for Cornell Engineering.

So is a 600 effectively ending my chance?
Or should I definitely retake?

I don't know if it is the end, but do you know how many questions you had to miss to get a 600? youwantcornell? Definitely study and retake.

Shoot for 700+

I'm in a very similar boat.

math 2: 720
physics: 630
ush: 680

will those scores (especially the physics) play a big role in determining admission to engineering schools?

No its not. Physics has a big curve (like I'm not that great at physics and I got a 720). Try for a higher score.

JteH, I wouldn't worry too much about the USH score, but try to bring up physics.

Not in the least. 600 is like in the 40th percentile.

Well, at least you didn't apply as a tentative physics major.

crap i just got my scores
770 math2
650 physics
i was going to apply to cornell engineering as well, but this is not so pretty.

Two options

Retake physics by studying very hard

Take chemistry

I don't know how much they care about SAT IIs...

I think SAT IIs are important at selective universities...

650+ should be fine for Cornell.
