look, here's the story: i'm a junior in high school with a passion for science and math.

normally, i get a 35/36 in math, and 30/32 reading, 32 science, and 34 writing: this leads to a 32-33 composite score.

in February, i took the ACT and went way beyond my expectations: a 34 composite. i pretty much scored a 34 reading, 35 writing, 34 science, BUT...a frustratingly enough, a 33 in math (?!?).

so, seeing as how ill probably never do that well on the other three sections ever again, IS IT WORTH IT TO TAKE THE ACT AGAIN IN APRIL TO BRING UP MY MATH COMPOSITE SCORE, AT THE EXPENSE OF LOWER SCORES ON THE OTHER THREE SECTIONS?

There is absolutely no reason to retake a 34 Composite. You should spend the money and time on other aspects of your application. I would worry about the math on future tests (GRE, MCAT, etc...) instead of the ACT for undergrad admissions.

i would retake it if you think you can do better, try for a 35 comp. if it is realistic b/c it would certainly help more for the schools you are applying to. If you don't study you'll be spending like 4 hours on a sat. morning that you'd otherwise probably be sleeping in, so go for it.
