Is a Biochemistry major really for me?

Hello everyone first time posting on this forum. Ever since I graduated from High School I’ve been planning on getting a Bachelors in Biochem, but unfortunately recently some things have happened recently that have made me wonder if I should switch.

I’m currently taking a general Chemistry class, and while I’m not sure if struggling is the right word I’m not doing as well as I had hoped. I currently have a B in the class and there’s a somewhat small chance it gets bumped to an A.

I guess what I’m worried about is if this is a bad omen for what’s to come. The other part of it for me is to be completely honest I just don’t find general chemistry interesting. I’m not necessarily struggling despite not getting an A, but I just am struggling to see how this connects into what I want to major in.

I guess my question is if I’m not doing as great as I had hoped in general chem is there a possibility that I will do even worse in my other chemistry courses? Also is this class really indicative of my major?

Also I apologize if this is being posted in the wrong forum, but this seemed like the best place to post.

If cheinmstry is not really exciting you, which ones of your other classes do excite you?

Maybe consider a more biology heavy major. Degrees such as molecular bio or regular biology might be more for you. A lot of the concepts you learn are the sme as in a biochemistry major but more focus on the bio rther than the chem.
