Is parking as bad as what we've heard?
Are parking permits $$$?
Is car theft/vandalism a bad problem?

is this for on campus or off campus?

On campus… same question.

For on campus
Thanks

I just graduated from UCR so I can share my experiences with you guys. Parking can range from cheap ($40/quarter) to expensive ($200/quarter) depending on how far you are willing to walk from the parking lot. Honestly though, the furthest lot not even that bad of a walk. If you park at the cheapest lot (located by Psychology building) and have a class at the other end of campus (say engineering building), the walk from the lot to class would be about 6-8 minutes power walking or 10-15 minutes if you walk rather slow. I’ve never seen or heard of vandalism on campus. However, I have seen some on the streets located further out from campus though. Hope that helps.

No need for a car to travel around the campus. It’d take longer to go from your class to your parking lot and then drive over to the other side of the campus to park, then walk to the next class. Not to mention a lot of the headaches you may deal with.

no need for a car if you’re living on campus
